  • Partners in Research is shaped by experience working across health systems, universities, and non-profit organizations — largely in British Columbia. Co-founders Gen and Katie together have over 30 years of experience working with communities, non-profits, health providers, research institutes and researchers who believe in the power of relationships to affect positive systems change.

    We understand the realities of cross-sector collaboration, public systems, and community-engaged work. And we bring that perspective to every partnership.

  • Dr. Genevieve Creighton

    COFOUNDER AND IMPLEMENTATION LEAD

    With over 13 years of experience in implementation science and knowledge mobilization, Gen has led large-scale training, implementation, and evaluation initiatives supporting researchers and health professionals across BC.

    Her commitment to real-world impact sets the tone for everything we do.

  • Katie McCallum

    COFOUNDER AND ENGAGEMENT LEAD

    Katie is a community engagement specialist with over 15 years of experience supporting researchers, non-profit organizations, and community groups to work together in meaningful and ethical ways. Katie is trained in diverse social research methodologies, participatory decision-making, and user-focused evaluation. She brings a practical, people-centred approach to designing projects that are inclusive, collaborative, and responsive to community needs.

  • Ugen Lhazin

    OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

    Ugen’s experience spans universities, health systems, and non-profit sectors, where she has built partnerships and systems that turn collaboration into tangible outcomes. With PMP certification and extensive project management experience, Ugen is focused on creating the structures and processes that make collaboration work — clear systems, effective workflows, and shared governance that help partners move together toward a shared vision.

  • Oliver Mann

    COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

    Friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, Oliver has 13+ years experience experience leading and advising on marketing and communications projects. He is a versatile multimedia storyteller, experienced in videography, photography, and podcasting. He is passionate about telling stories that demonstrate how partnerships can address critical social challenges.
